Cosy Christmas season with the best Coconut Hot Chocolate

Cosy Christmas season with the best Coconut Hot Chocolate

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! It is officially cold and we can indulge in sweet pleasures without a bad feeling. After all, what could be nicer than warming up with a cup of hot chocolate after a long walk?

We have come up with the ultimate recipe for a hot chocolate for you: thick, creamy dark chocolate with coconut sparkles and a white topping made of whipped cream on top. Sounds good? Here's the recipe!

Ingredients for 4 portions:

• 400ml milk (for even more decadence: low-fat coconut milk)

• 200 ml sweetened condensed milk

• 1 dark chocolate bar

• 1 tablespoon of coconut syrup

• 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

• 1 cup of whipped cream

• coconut flakes

Firstly heat up the milk (or coconut milk) with the sweetened condensed milk and then add the chocolate pieces while stirring until dissolved. Now all you have to do is add the coconut syrup and the vanilla extract!

If you like, you can decorate the edges of the cups with coconut flakes. All you have to do is mix some icing sugar with water, brush the edges with it and then dip the cup into coconut flakes. This works best if you put the coconut flakes in a deep plate.

As soon as the hot chocolate is filled into the cups, put a topping made of whipped cream on your creation and sprinkle everything with some coconut flakes and coloured crumbles. And now: Enjoy!

By the way: the beautiful wall stickers, which are only available now in the Christmas season, not only make an amazing background for your Hot Chocolate Bar – you can also use it to create an individual Advent calendar. Or add some light strings between the X-Mas wall decal and it's the perfect alternative for a needle-free Christmas tree.
